Frequently asked
What this is, where the questions come from, and the two games people ask about by another name.
What is Trivela?
Eight free football games, built from the record of the sport — quizzes, a card game and a squad draft, with a new daily puzzle in each of them every day.
Every question is generated from a database of real careers and machine-checked to have exactly one right answer before it ships. See all the games.
Do you have daily football trivia games?
Yes. Every game deals a fresh puzzle each day and everybody gets the same one, so a score is worth arguing about. One attempt each, then it is gone until tomorrow.
Today's dailies are all on one page. Nothing to install and no sign-up, so you can send somebody your score and they can answer it in a tap.
Is Snap football UNO?
Plenty of people call it football UNO, and it is a fair shorthand. You are emptying a hand onto a pile, you have to match what is on top, and there are cards that skip a turn, reverse the order and make the next player draw.
What you match on is the difference. Every card is a real footballer, so a card goes down on one that shares its league, its position or its nationality — and if it shares a club, that is a Snap and you go again. Knowing who moved from Ajax to Barcelona is a move you can play, not a fact you get a point for. Play Snap.
Snap is our own game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Mattel or UNO.
Is Top Ten a football Tenable?
Same shape, yes — one category, ten ranked answers and three lives, which is the format people mean when they search for a football Tenable. The top scorers in a competition, the most-capped players of a nation, the biggest transfers of a window: every board is ten deep.
The boards are ours and every answer on them is drawn from the record. Play Top Ten.
Top Ten is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to ITV or Tenable.
Where do the questions come from?
Wikidata and Wikipedia, with our own corrections on top. Nothing is taken from the stats sites.
Before a question ships it is run against the whole database to prove that exactly one player fits it. That is the check that stops "who scored twenty in 2019" having four right answers and accepting only one of them.
The numbers on a card work the same way: appearances, goals, caps — real career figures, never an invented 0–99 rating.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, and no. There is no sign-up, no app to install and nothing to pay for. Your scores and streaks are kept on your own device.
Can I play against other people?
Two ways. Snap seats two to four players at one table, and Top Trumps has a Versus mode where you send a link and play somebody live.
For the quizzes, share your daily score — whoever opens the link gets the same questions you had and plays against your number.
Does it work on my phone?
It is built for a phone first. Open it in the browser: there is no app store listing and nothing to download. Add it to your home screen if you want it to open like an app.
Free to play, no sign-up, nothing to install.
